Re: A return of inflammation
I was doing so well--I was on the MRT diet and everything was going along...
Well, that's in the past... and now I'm spending time awake at night listening to my intestines gurgle and feeling that hated liquidy feeling. Anyone else have that? The worst is that now I have tried GF/EF/DF/SF and ...

and I hope that some day you will be successful in weaning off the budesonide.
Not a biggie for me at this point - I am glad to have a "cork" that works. Fortunately I need less than the full prescribed dose to maintain control, so all is well.
Wow that price is great, 45 cents a pill. I had just ...

After Bob was able to achieve remission, he eventually stopped posting, and it's been 4 or 5 years since he last posted, I believe, so he probably won't see your post.

Re: Lotronex, Entocort
Has anyone found that Entocort helped once you gave it a second try? Yeah, it worked for me a 2nd time. I had "D from hell" for a decade, with a severe 6 month flair that was HALTED with a stiff dose of Prednisone and followed by Entocort, 2 to 3 a day as needed. Worked so well that I went off it ...

I'm three weeks from seening the doc about adrenal testing now. I don't know if your doc is a holistic oriented doc, or more narrow minded MD that only recognizes Addisons disease before agreeing there is a problem with adrenals, but I would order this test and have the results within 3 weeks http ...

Re: .
Taking thryroid medicine has never done what it promised, no matter what the type (Armour, levothyroxin or synthroid). My hands & feet are better, but still cold, I still have alligator skin on my shins, cracked hands/heels, etc. I think your low cortisol is preventing the thyroid from entering the ...

I'm now the proud owner of scripts for Cortef and Armour. Bobh, you have another convert. Coolness. I have been buried at work - just checking back. This is interesting, and that your blood labs showed a cortisol issue. Your Dr must be looking "within" the range, as you have to be almost dead to ...

Hi Tex, you are right on the need to check the Free T3. The eyebrows thing is a definite sympom, my brother noticed that, got labs 2 months ago, has low Ft3, high TSH, Hashi antibodies. Then we checked his adrenals and he had that too - with lots of symptoms clear up when it was adressed (anxiety ...

No, I haven't noticed that.
In my opinion, if someone has low cortisol levels, bringing them back to normal would not present problems.
But then, I don't personally have weight issues - mine is the other way around. I turned into a scarecrow after my health went south 20 years ago, after a severe ...
