Howdy folks,
I've been away for a while, focused on other stuff (like raising a kid. No, not a goat! Though he does act like a monkey quite often...).
Anyway, I was poking around the web, and found this article:

Perhaps, the intestinal mucosa has ...

So, since we're talking about sleep, and phosphatidylserine (seriphos), I'm curious if anyone has had a backwards reaction to phosphatidylserine? I had a cortisol test, and started phosphatidylserine. I absolutely did NOT sleep. It was like I had 10 cups of coffee or something--elevated heart rate ...

I use 5htp. Gives me lots of dreams. Doesn't help me stay asleep, unfortunately. I'm super tired around 7pm or so. Then I get a bit of a second wind for 2-4 hours. Go to bed between 10 and 11, and sleep til 1:30. Then I wake every 2 hours, almost on the nose. Wish I had a solution for you, but I don ...

EIA vs. Molecular probe test method
Howdy folks,
I've a question I'm hoping someone on the board might be able to help answer (especially Tex, what with all your pretty detailed and fancy knowledge of lab testing stuff). I just got a stool culture test result for my son, and it has, apparently, two tests for H Pylori. One is an EIA ...

There are some diets out there that purport to be "anti-candida" diets. That is, they feed the yeast as little as possible, while feeding the host (you) as much as possible. Two I'm aware of are SCD and GAPS. They're slight variations of each other. But they both emphasize that they are not "no carb ...

you might have SIBO (bacteria in your small intestine). I know I had it (and I hope that's past-tense now). I would eat an apple and get all bloated-up, and be very uncomfortable for a while. Turns out I have little to no stomach acid, so taking a stomach acid supplement has helped me in many ways ...

Kimberly,
Thanks for the reply. I was actually hoping to get more details on the testing that was done. Or could/should I call your doctor to get those details? I'm wondering exactly what tests were done, how the results are interpreted, and how the results tie-in to treatment/dosage, etc. Perhaps ...

First, a disclaimer: I think I come at this from a slightly different perspective than most. Officially, I have LC. But I don't fit the typical LC symptoms, never been on budesonide, and LC doesn't explain all my symptoms. so, while I have a diagnosis, I'm really an atypical eclectic collection of ...

Well,
Last time I had dairy, I vomited. It's a bit of an interesting story (but only a bit). I used to have dairy, no problem. A year of insanely high stress apparently did me in, because I started vomiting after consuming fluid milk. But it was a delayed reaction -- I vomited 24 hours later. It's ...
