PICC
PICC installed after 4 days in hospital. No choice as have to infuse antibiotic at home. Too sick to do it anywhere else. MC out of control from too many antibiotics in hospital. No argument at all about having PICC or home health nurse to train me or anything. I guess the MC was a deciding factor ...

thanks for suggest
Always open to suggestions. My problem is trying to leave my house at this point. I am such a prisoner her with these gut problems. A day doesn't go by that my gut doesn't cause problems. It doesn't matter what I eat or don't eat. Liquid immodium helps but doesn't stop it. And since I recently had ...

Brandy, thanks for thoughts - you are probably correct about antibiotics vs e coli. I truly never feel sick so I think it is a very hidden strain they have been battling. They have run DNA tests to target the specific strain with particular antibiotics which would work best but so far no success or ...

UTI
Entering 12th month of persistent UTI, with regular treatment by variety of antibiotics, none successful at treating E.coli infection. I have CVID and have been infusing myself weekly with gammaglobulin for 3 years. That brings its own set of problems. My microscopic lymphocytic colitis was ...

CVID & microscopic colitis
I have CVID & MC and yes they are tied together. Diagnosed with CVID 10 years ago, MC 3 years ago. Never knew they were tied together until now. I do week subq infusions of gammaglobulin for my very low numbers. I eat an extremely restricted diet for MC and it works for me. Have good days & bad ...

Erica, thanks for your reply concerning my tuna/mayo problem. I was totally unaware of tuna but had some awareness that mayo could cause a problem. But I have eaten homemade chicken salad with no problems multiple times so really don't think mayo is causing it. Tuna??? Well, I've had some problems ...

tuna with mayo???
I have made tuna salad with mayo with very limited seasonings, things I have tolerated in other foods - sage, celery salt only. I get violently sick about 70% of the time but not 100% of the time when I eat it. You probably think, "well, don't eat that any more!!!!" but my MC diet is so extremely ...

I am still battling diarrhea regularly after 2 1/2 years. I think mine is tied to seasonal allergies, as I live in GA where allergy season goes on and on and on. Trying to find a substitute for calcium products is difficult as the list on one of Gabe's notes was all items I absolutely cannot eat ...

Most family doctors have little understanding of MC, have received no training about it and just want to send us to gastro docs where we will receive very little support from them (as so very many of us have found). I don't think they mean to be cruel or show lack of understanding. They just have ...

Reply to Jeanie about GF/DF/SF ice cream - I buy it at Sprouts, which is a national chain of awesome stores that stock great little ice creams made by SO Delicious in the most amazing flavors. I only eat a little bit (not the big bowl of ice cream I used to love to eat) but it satisfies my craving ...

Poor Yoda slippers! I know I should carry extra clothes but don't, just extra diapers. If I ever had one of my "Poo Accidents", extra clothes would not begin to help me as I would look like such a mess I would not know where to begin cleaning myself up. When it happens at home, I just have to climb ...

Whatever it was, it passed with that one 3 hour episode. So I do not think it was a stomach virus as I believe that would have lasted longer. I know my immune system is so screwed up, which is why I hesitate to expose myself to anyone anywhere. People (including my 40 year old daughter who I live ...
