Hi,
I have had several cortisone shots since my CC diagnosis several years ago for both shoulder issues & knee arthritis. None of them caused a flare. All helped relieve the pain & inflammation. If you see the ortho, he/she may recommend physical therapy, which you should consider. You do not want ...

I have had CC for several years. Prior to the diagnosis I had taken both Nexium & a NSAID for a few years. I believe both contributed to developing CC. My schedule for weaning off Nexium was as follows: 1 capsule every other day for 4 weeks. Then 1 every 2 days for 4 weeks, then 1 2x/ week for 4 ...

Boxer colitis
I feed Soleil Canidae Pure Lamb wet & dry food. I sprinkle Tylan powder on & add some bone broth to make it extra moist. I was told by two different vets that metronidazole (sp?) is not to be used for long term treatment. If you have the time, Google homemade dog food. I know a few pet owners who ...

My lab mix has colitis. After many vet visits, medications & diet changes, a vet internist put her on Tylosin, aka, Tylan Powder. It’s a type of antibiotic known as a macrolide. It activates in tthe intestine. She gets 1/4 teasp. 2x/day mixed w/ wet food. It was ( and remains) a miracle drug for her ...

How about going to aerobics but going low and slow. It is not about how vigorously we move, it is about moving. I am almost 70. I have suffered from CC for almost a decade.
I have found that aerobics, at whatever intensity I can muster, makes me feel better. Best of luck to you on this journey. Sheila

I rescued a beautiful lab mix 2+ years ago. She had the same problem. Many $$$$ later, a vet internal medicine specialist prescribed: 1) a novel protein, grain free food ( duck, rabbit, or venison), and a low dose of Tylan (Tylosin) powder. This drug is a macrolide, usually prescribed for poultry to ...

I'd like to alert all to the following paper recently posted on celiac.org. "Non-Celiac Wheat Sensivity Diagnosed by Double-Blind Placebo-Controlled Challenge: Exploring a New Clinical Entity" published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology. Tex, I'd love your opinion. I think it finally ...

I peruse the Forum every day but rarely post. Must share the following. I was compiling my GF Shopping List a few minutes ago on my iPhone. In a hurry, as usual, I did not proof until I reached the end. As I read over the list I noted the munchkins that reside within the software converted my entry ...

Tex,
Feel free to add my results to your collection. I dug a bit further into the meaning of my results on Dr. Fine's website last night. Fine says ~19% of Americans have DQ 7,7. This allele pair is ALMOST IDENTICAL IN STRUCTURE TO DQ2,2! Wonder if the illustrious Dr. Fasano is aware of this ...

Anyone else diagnosed with bronchiectasis?
For several years prior to MC diagnosis and in the four years since, I have suffered with chronic wheezing/coughing and repeated bronchial infections. Finally diagnosed via CT scan with bronchiectasis, permanent dilation of some of my bronchial tubes. It, too, is an uncommon disease, not terribly ...

Dear Harma,

Don't know if you have visited Celiacchicks.com. They have members who blog about their gluten-free travels in Europe and post a list of gluten-free restaurants. I recently travelled through Schipol Airport in Amsterdam. If you change planes or lay over there, there is a great selection of gluten ...
