Dear Annie,
Although I have not yet had the Enterolab tests done and am finally scheduled for another endoscopy and colonoscopy, I have also had luck with Gabes' diet --esp. when I've had a bad day. But it can be hard if you have a family to feed that doesn't want chicken and mushy veggies all the ...

Hopefully when you leave Seattle it will not be totally at night, as you should pass thru the beautiful San Juan Islands on your way to BC. These and the Canadian San Juans are some of the most beautiful areas in the NW. (Of course I live on an island where the ferry leaves for the San Juans, so I ...

Thanks Gabe,
Thank your for your always upbeat attitude!! I have enjoyed all of your posts that exude such kindness of spirit. I hope your new job goes well and that moving will not be too big a project.
As for the Entocort from Vanuatu, I wish it smelled of frangipani, but no. Maybe I'll ask them ...

Thank you both Tex and Connie,
Now I've looked at the other information and I must go from here. Can you please give me a definition of "remission"? Is it just a little better, much better, is it possible to feel "normal" again w/o all the rumbling, nausea, lack of appetite, total exhaustion, foggy ...

Enterolab testing
I was just wondering if anyone has had the testing for gluten from Enterolabs and their test came out negative?
I've only read posts supporting the use of the testing from those with positive results. Have there been any negatives and I've just missed their posts?
I'm still on the fence about the ...

Up here in WA, Safeway usually has a pretty good range of GF foods. Not great, but OK. Also have a decent organic section. If you are in a good sized town, there should be a Trader Joes and you'll have good luck there. In the Seattle area look for the Food Co-op--it is wonderful and should be an ...

I have those as well and they can be very loud! And embarrassing. Since taking Entocort they have lessened, but not totally stopped. I was GF for some time, but I didn't notice a difference (maybe stopped too soon) so I can't yet say that a dietary change helped me. But it certainly has helped many ...

Well the weight seems to be the absolute determining factor. I have always been petite (4"9") and my normal/average weight has always been 75-79 lbs. So getting up to over 85 lbs is difficult and I'd actually be pudgy at that weight. I only weighed 97 while pregnant.

Costs of colonoscopy
Hello all,
I finally have my colonoscopy scheduled for the end of the month. However, while checking things out with the insurance, hospital, lab, procedure fee and anethesia, it looks like it will cost anywhere from $5700 up to $9575, mainly due to the hospital facility fee. They gave me a range ...
