MICROSCOPIC COLITIS SUPPORT

Diagnosed in 2010 with LC, and am on my third major diarrhea flare. But this time I was floored by the intensity of the ab cramps that preceded the diarrhea. They came on suddenly about 45 minutes after I got into bed, and got worse as I sat on the toilet waiting for the diarrhea.

Not all ice cream contains gluten, or is it hidden? Some brands have just the basic, pure ingredients.
Edit: I reread your post; you're intolerant of dairy, so yes, "real" ice cream is out...

Malto is on Jane's list of glutens, though. So that's why I threw out the spice and have the ketchup on deck for tossing out.

Thanks for the responses, and I hope they keep coming in, as a strong differential is psoriatic arthritis (my brother has it), as well as enteropathic arthropathy -- which the online medical sites don't mention MC but are quick to mention IBS, Crohn's and ulceritis.

I visited the Enterolab site and don't know which tests to order. The one for malabsorption sounded perfect until I read that it's more for pancreatic malfunction and small intestines. I realize MC probably pertains to small intestince, but my pancreatic blood work was normal, so why bother?
