Thank you so much, Tex, for this response. It's all very helpful and I really appreciate it.

2. Does anyone know if Kirkland ground ...

Questions about lab results and finding a safe diet
Hello,
I just got my Enterolab results and I have questions (no kidding!). Here is some background about me that might help.
I'm 85 and was diagnosed with MC in Nov 2024. I have been off of gluten and dairy since that time. I am 5'2" and 100 lbs, but I was 160 lbs before MC wreaked havoc, so my ...

Re: Anyone tried the Enterolab recovery protocol?
I got my Enterolab results and consulted with Dr Fine. I purchased some products from him and wondered if anyone else had tried them. First, my results:
3: oat, tuna, almond. I must avoid these indefinitely. Most reactive.
2: in descending order of reactivity:
Corn
Rice
Chicken

Pork
Beef
Walnut ...

Re: To "Newbies" Starting the GF Diet (Updated) 2025
Okay, thanks for clarifying. I am waiting for my Enterolab kit to eliminate some of the guesswork, then will put together my recovery diet based on Gabes' post and the book you published, Tex.

Re: To "Newbies" Starting the GF Diet (Updated) 2025
Sorry, let me try that again. Somehow my message was imbedded in Dee's.
Can someone please clarify - do these recommendations comply with the stage one diet (as the "newbies" subject suggests)? Gabes' post suggests a much more bland and restricted diet (ex. no spices at all), and I would be really ...

In recipes that I have posted using the dry herbs and seasonings, always check labels, as some are "NOT" gluten free.
I Use Tone's and McCormick but always check the labels.

I personally use So Delicious Unsweetened, Original Coconut milk.I use in things like mashed potatoes, if I ...

Re: Some questions about treating BAM
I have not yet received the lab. I could stop taking the colestipol until after I send my sample. I hadn't thought of how it might interfere, especially as I have ordered the malabsorption test? I will email Enterolab and see what they think. Thanks for the thought.

Some questions about treating BAM
Hello!
I have a few questions about BAM treatment that I'm hoping for help with.
1. Timing. I recently ordered the Enterolab test to get a better hold on my already restricted diet, so it's quite possible that I am still eating things that are not helping. I got little help from pepto or ...

Re: Bile Acid Binders that AREN'T Cholestyramine...Any Success Stories out There?
Thank you for this thread. My GI wants me to start me on a BAM med to see if it helps. Even though I asked for cholestyramine she prescribed colestipol - I wonder why? Maybe convenience of tabs vs. powder?

Re: Colestipol
Hi,
I can only guess, without EnteroLab results, but if budesonide is not even helping, your diet is probably way out of line. And while it's true that eliminating foods from your diet might cause you to lose weight, the continuing watery diarrhea will cause much worse weight loss and health ...

Re: Thoughts on pistachio nuts, avocado?
Hi Tex,tex wrote: Tue Oct 29, 2024 6:21 am Based on posts of shared experiences, most of us tolerate avocados and pistachio nuts well. Macadamia nuts are safe for most of us, also.
Tex
Is avocado safe on a recovery diet? Or is this post about after remission is achieved?

Thank you for sharing this! Do you have any current update? I am thinking of asking my GI to try it.
