I definitely had IV antibiotics and I know that can trigger a flare. I guess the two hospitalizations were so close together I keep feeling like one signaled the beginning of the other.

I'm curious if there is a correlation between appendicitis and MC. I had acute appendicitis and emergency surgery 15 days before my first awful flare and subsequent MC diagnosis. I have seen references in other threads to appendicitis. Is it perhaps just related to the digestive system dealing with ...

How about hormone levels? High levels of progesterone can cause hair loss as well? I experienced that when taking a progesterone based birth control pill. Could your thyroid be playing havoc with your hormones? I honestly don't know how it works :)
