Post surgery update:
So had surgery last Tuesday. Had a Norman Thursday. Then had 3-4 bouts of what I would say is the dumping syndrome that post lap chole patients have Saturday & Sunday. Then Norman today- 9 days post-op. Pretty excited about that!

Karin- I did the pepto routine, 1 2x a day. I did it for about 3 weeks, started to get constipated and eventually tappered down to not taking any. I've flared up again, prob. 2 wks after stopping. Gloria, I have a question on the rice milk recipe. It calls for 5c. of boiling water, but as far as I can tell, you only use 2 1/3 c. throughout the recipe and only 1/2c. of the 3/4c. of rice. Can you help clarify this for me? Thanks a bunch!

Thanks Tex. I'll have to grab some of that at the store & also search for that rice milk recipe on the boards. I love eating rice, milk, butter (tiny amt) and some sugar. If it tastes anything like that I would be in heaven!

I get terrible migraines as well. Most of mine are hypoglycemia related. If I don't eat when, well actually, before I'm hungry I will get an awful migraine and get nauseas. I'm lucky enough to work in healthcare, x-ray, so we are VERY open about our bodily issues! :lol: It's nothing to announce to everyone in the room, "I gotta go #2 then I'll help you with that chest x-ray." I'm with ya though, if there's no need to explain, then why go into details?! :grin:

I would love to take the entocort and have actually asked for it. I'm pretty sure the GI doc said if the pepto didn't work then we could move onto the entocort.
