I could well have missed an update on your situation, but would you mind giving me one. About your health situation and about the move to Australia?

Hi there shirley it's great to hear from you.
Well the health issue was fun, I ended up with a fistula form the Crohns that required surgery and a removal of 20cm (9") of my small intestine. The good news is with that segment removed, I am almost Crohns free. I had gone on a trip to DC and had a chance to meet Polly and Zizzle during the trip and upon getting back had pain, chills and a fever which put me in the hospital with peritonitis and septicemia, requiring the surgery.
The bad news I guess is I was hoping the D would have stopped with the Crohns more or less out of the picture. I had to almost stop the Imuran while recovering form the surgery and since then the D has been back, I am increasig the dose now and it does take a few weeks to come back to full strength. I am as of this week seeing some improvements as the D is now about half what it was. So all things are back on track and the Imuran is controlling the MC again and should be back up to full strength within another week or so.
As far as the move, it has been delayed as the DOD is reviewing the move to Australia as I have an interesting security clearance level that any foreign travel has issues. There is another hearing on the 25th of August to hopefully straighten this out. So right now patience is the name of the game.
I saw your notes about the bear near your house, sounds interesting to say the least, I hope your bird feeders stay safe... A well as you.
Take care Shirley

........... and good thoughts about your move.
Bird feeders are safe......... in the garage until cold weather hits and bears hibernate. HaHa
I am just putting out a few seeds at a time in a small box feeder on the ground and bringing it in at night.
