I'm jumping in with both feet on the Paleo diet.
Had lunch a while ago:
Hamburger Patty (Laura's - no growth hormones, no antibiotics)
Used olive oil in pan.
Lightly steamed cauliflower, sprinkled with FRESH chopped dill weed.
2 smallish ripe tomatoes from our garden.
Water to drink.
I did add salt to everything.
I am not suffering from D or overly concerned with my MC, but I'd really like to FEEL GOOD for a change AND get off some/all of my prescription meds. I consulted with a man who owns a pharmacy in Sayre, Pa. who helps people take charge of their health through diet and supplements.
He didn't sell me a thing today. Said if I want to do this I needed to go on the diet (doesn't even want me to eat fruits for a couple of months) and if I chose to stop taking the Nexium then he would help me figure out what to do next. He said my stomach has to get back to normal before supplements will help. He has apparently helped a LOT of people in the area in this manner. I just heard about him yesterday. He talked with me for at least an hour and a half. There is no charge for the service but if you want, you can donate to a children's charity in which he is active. Of course, I did so.
I can't believe I just heard about this - I am leaving for Florida Oct. 1 but he said he has an 800 # and I'm welcome to use it. Anyway, I was impressed, and as I said, I'd really like to feel good for a change and not hurt/ache, etc., etc., etc.
