The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) invites you to participate in a stakeholder teleconference concerning the reopening of the comment period on proposed ‘gluten-free’ food labeling rule.
The teleconference will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2011 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. ET. The toll-free number is 800-369-1976 (inside the United States) and 312-470-7298(international). The passcode is CFSAN.

The teleconference will discuss the reopening of the comment period for the proposed rule on the “gluten-free” labeling of foods. The stakeholder teleconference will include presentations by senior officials of the FDA Foods Program --- Michael R. Taylor, J.D., Deputy Commissioner for Foods and Michael M. Landa, J.D., Acting Director, Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN), followed by a question and answer session. Technical experts from CFSAN will also be available to answer questions. The briefing will be moderated by Heidi C. Marchand, Pharm.D., Assistant Commissioner of Special Health Issues.
