Lialda/immodium
I started my Lialda yesterday but still obviously have D, is it okay to take some immodium?
Hi Jenny,
Yes, Imodium is safe to take with virtually any of the meds prescribed to treat MC, and it's safe to take with most meds in general, for that matter.
It will probably take a while for the Lialda to work, so it's certainly reasonable to use Imodium to help slow down the D, so long as you tolerate it OK. The reason I added that last comment, is because Imodium makes me dizzy, but as far as I know, most members here can tolerate it quite well.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
