So let me see if I can make up a good PP related storyline for this post.... Ok I think I've got it....
Now it turns out that PP member 'Gabby'
has a background physics and is a lifelong student of the sciences so we decided to by using the strictest rules of he scientific method, look at this whole issue of humans and the issue with gluten sensitivity with an eye towards studying what happens in nature in relation to the consumption of gluten
It seems that in the literature that there are NO reported cases of gluten sensitivity amongst our ocean going mammal friends the whales, and since we had a bit of time on our hands, we decided to do both some observational and practical research into this phenomena. Now it should also be noted that we could also not find in the literature ANY whales having undergone a colonoscopy... Undaunted we decided to press on and continue our research.
We spent the day on a whale wachig ship just off of Cape Cod Massachucettes right near Marthas Vineyard going out with Captain John's Fleet

Mother & Calf

A whale named 'Echo'

A friend of Echos

A calf waiting for mom to finish feeding

One of our new friends waving goodbye
So after the field research phase of this study was over, we moved onto the practical phase of this research and have begun looking into how a GF seafood diet can be beneficial to those who cannot tolerate gluten and am happy to say that our sea-going friends the whales may very well be on to something here, this non-gluten based food was not only good, but was great to share with a good friend
Anyway folks that's the latest from the PP ambassador files. Thanks to Gabby for sharing such a fun day out on the water and it was great to share a good GF meal
Now my next stop is Phoenix in late September and according to my lab partner, there are other great GF foods try in the American Southwest... Can't wait...
