Marliss,
Awesome post. Congrats on getting your girls to accept the diet. My kids are 7 and 4, and as much as I wish I could make them go GF, it would be a monumental undertaking, and one that I can't convince anyone of if their genes aren't triggered. But they eat a lot less gluten now.
Waking up with joint/muscle pain, or hobbling for a few moments after sitting for a while is pretty much a thing of the past
I'm just like you on the joint pain, and was reminded of it after I apparently was glutened at a dinner party this weekend. I knew because the pregnant belly was back within an hour of eating, as was the frothy, violent D. I woke up the next day with the same ache in my lower back and creaky hips and knees that I experienced for at least 10 years. I wonder what mechanism allows one little spec of gluten to trigger all the aches and pains so quickly?? And is there permanent joint damage there? I just can't comprehend it.

Thanks for sharing your reflections. :festive:

Marliss,

I couldn't have said it any better. I too just passed my one year potty anniversary, and am so much wiser and more in control than my frantic days from just one years ago.

I am glad you have found the friends, support, and the wisdom you deserve to feel better!

Regards,

Rich

Hi Marliss,

Thanks for sharing your MC journey in such wonderful detail, and congratulations on how far you've come in a year. I had to smile when I read your statement about 'overwhelming others with what you know to be true'. Holding back the urge to do that takes quite of bit of effort for me  .

Best of luck to you as you continue on your path towards radiant health - look forward to following along with you through your posts here.

Love,
Kari
