I just watched a National Geographic program on stress. It was so interesting, in fact, I watched it twice because the first time I was playing a game with my dd16 and missed some of it. The summary of the program was that if you are compassionate towards others and do things for them out of the goodness of your heart because they need help or just because you want to, your stress level goes down. How about that?
Ant! So good to hear from you again! Missed you.
a horrible day and night

got my bank card back today, exactly as promised the bank lady called me around 10 and by 12 I had my card back. Sometimes I hear stories of people card eaten by ATM's got destroyed and getting in touch with the manager before someone does something, but sometimes I also works true normal roads.
The card is not working in the ATM anymore, but now I have the card back I can make transfers to my other Dutch bank account and get money out of the wall again. So problem solved.
My ankle is healing very well, I almost walk normal again, so wasn't that bad.
and my stomach flu, well this time it's more the stomach than the bowels. I have to remind myself to eat something (zero hunger), this morning it went wrong again, nauseous and breakfast ended up in the toilet pot. So I eat very plain food, bananas, tea, chicken even rice I don't like at the moment. But well "normal" people may find it difficult a restricted diet, but we are soooo used to it and have ages ago already chosen feeling well above "eating everything".
I was quite proud of myself today how I managed this week, without any help getting my bank card back, and find medical care for my ankle without getting into any stress. Going to see a doctor here means going to ER in hospital and also that went perfect.

Hi Harma,
I've just read your string of posts. What a rough patch you did hit. I'm glad you had a friend to help you out and vice versa.
I understand what Tex was saying. I still operate that way, even though there are not many friends around us here.
I hope your ankle is better and that you got your bank card back.
Enjoy the singing birds in your lovely garden.
