And now for an encore.....
After those dreadful 10 days with C the relentless D is back. Oh, for the healing to start! I know I am a newbie at this, but it's exhausting.
Leslie,
I hear you. I lived that way for at least a couple of years, until I figured out the diet connection.
Even after you have a treatment plan in place, it's still tough, because the symptoms will continue for a while. But I found that just knowing that I was doing the right things that would eventually bring improvement, took a lot of the stress out of it - at least the feeling of hopelessness was gone.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I hear you, Lesley. I've been doing better, especially since the doctor put me on a blood pressure medicine to control my headaches. The side effect is constipation. While it's better than relentless D, it's also uncomfortable (not to mention causes weight gain). Yesterday I was brave and tried a spinach patty that had oat bran in it. BIG mistake. I was bloated and gassy all day and night. This morning D came to visit. I really have to be loyal to my restrictions; no gluten, dairy, or oats.
Hang in there. I hope you start to feel better soon.

Thanks
for these answers guys. Today, with this UTI, I am so exhausted I can barely move. I usually go to the pool to exercise, but cannot get down there today.
And the GERD is bothering me too. Never ends!

we have all been there, and when there is multiple symptoms at almost every part of our bodies it can be overwhelming.
you are on the right track to overcoming this, if you can identify your main triggers and remove them it will get better.

And always know that you can come here and say whatever is on your heart. We've all been there, we can all sympathize, and we all have listening ears and big shoulders.Marliss Bombardier
