How Sweet It Is

Post by tex »

Hi All,

What could be better than this?
The study found that women who had the highest consumption of chocolate -- about two candy bars a week -- had a 20 percent reduced risk of stroke.
But wait - that's not all, (as they say in the infomercials).
Chocolate's benefits don't end there, Larsson said, adding that dark chocolate consumption has also been found to reduce blood pressure, lower insulin resistance and help keep your blood from forming dangerous clots.

when there is discussion about my allowable ingredient list - we all know the conversation people ask 'well, what do you eat???"

well part of my reply is that it will take way way more than this condition to stop me enjoying coffee, and eating chocolate, i hunted the world and found Rice Milk chocolate (GF/DF/SF) in white, milk and dark!

thanks for sharing tex.

Thaks Gabe, I think I'll try that too!!! I love milk chocolate and white chocolate both. Much more than dark.

Shirley
it is not cheap - but it is worth every penny.
:butterfly67:
it is quite smooth and sweet link Lindt chocolate (lindt chocolate was my favourite pre MC)

when I make the Orgran GF/DF/SF cake mixes i put about 30 - 40 grams of the chocolate into the mix, to make the cake like a mud cake

I can also get the enjoy chocolate here but I find it is a bit bitter.

Thanks Gabe,
I'm willing to pay more for something that is really good and since it would be "all mine" it would last quite a while.

I have ordered a couple of Orgran products (pancake mix and self-rising flour) and found them more to my liking than others I have tried. I should try some more of their products. Problem is I'm really trying hard to lose more weight so I don't like to have too much around to tempt me. From my heaviest point around 3 years ago, I have lost about 36 lbs. I still want to lose at least 20 more. If I do, I'm sure I'll look like a wrinkled up old prune but........ what the heck. HaHa

Y'all are so lucky. I tested quite sensitive to chocolate (cocoa) on MRT. Sigh. I knew I couldn't tolerate it from experience, but it was still a bummer to find out definitively.

Polly,

I tested OK on the MRT, but can't eat it because it's high in histamines. Sigh.

I suspect I'll test moderately sensitive to chocolate on MRT, but I'm still eating it anyway!! My body just has to learn to deal!
