This is a very good quality Gluten Free bread product (there is a mix across the range some are GF/DF/YF GF/YF GF/DF) that is expanding into the world market. like most GF breads, as a fresh product it is so so, toasted it is awesome!

I dont believe they have GF/DF/YF/SF product (damn it) prior to the MC diagnosis these breads were a key part of my eating

Growth for Zehnder Gluten Free

MALENY Qld-based company Zehnder Gluten Free will soon open a full production facility in Switzerland, in the Canton (state) of Solothurn, to cater for its global market.

"We decided to open the facility in Switzerland because of its geographic location, infrastructure, costs, workforce, easy access to the European market and supermarket supply agreements," director Josef Zehnder said.

"This is not just due to the high Australian dollar and transport costs but also due to the carbon footprint.

"Another new Australian facility will supply New Zealand, the Pacific, the Middle East and Asia until we establish factories there. Europe has its own factory as will North America."

Mr Zehnder said the facility would produce the same products that were available in Australia, plus new lines.

He said they hoped to complete their supply rollout to around 50 countries in the next four years.

"We hope to become a global leader in gluten-free products and provide the best gluten-free food to Coeliac disease sufferers in the hope of improving their lives," he said.

The company won the Queensland AMP Innovation Award at the 2011 Telstra Business Awards in July.
