My doc...very discouraging..

Robin - I am an OT, and treated 100s of patients over the years. I cannot tell you the # of times I suspected a dx and wrote the details in my notes, even called to talk to the doc to point them in the direction, and had no joy. Nor any help for the patient.
We are the ones who see the patient on a daily basis, and know them and their symptoms inside out. We are also trained to look for the cause of the symptoms, to research, and to describe.
THEY are supposed to read our notes and give the dx so we can treat under doctor's orders.
The # of times I treated for a dx that wasn't given and made notes to alert the doc and to cover my back!! It drove me NUTS!

Yes, they are disgusting.
