Hi Barbara, I'm glad the trees did not do ny damage to your property. This is a big strom and it's just started to snow up here. The real problem is that many of the trees still have there leaves and the snow is sticking to them adding tremendous weight to the branches.

Keep warm

I wish I was in Australia!

Joe,

We couldn't even drag the dog out for his mid-day walk. He was all for it till I opened the door - then he "turned tail" and fled!

Can't say I blame him...

Barbara,

What a relief the trees missed the house, but YIKES!!!

Love,
Sara

I knows Sara it's not too nice out right now. You should see Neslte, she runs around catching snowflakes in her mouth, too funny. She does this for the first few storms each year.

I guess it's time to pull out her snow boots I got her last year

Barbara,

I agree with you - I hate winter. It's already too cold to suit me, and we haven't even had our first freeze, yet.

There's no danger of snow here, though, because we desperately need the moisture.

Y'all need to move to the Pacific Northwest. We advertise that it rains and is gloomy all the time, that mushrooms grow between our toes, but that's just to keep everyone away. It's actually quite dry here except when it is raining. It rained enough yesterday to keep the grass greening up, as it does every winter. The trees are gorgeous, the sun is shining, and it's about 60 degrees. Usually the snow stays where it belongs--in the mountains where we can go play in it but not have to drive to work in it.

I'm only half-kidding. I don't like snow, and I am very sorry that you all over then on the other coast are getting hit so early and so hard.

I was wondering how a snow storm this early could topple trees. That explains it. Thanks, Joe.

Barbara, I'm glad that the trees missed your house, but YIKES! I hope you don't have anything else fall.

You should come out to CA where I am. It was gorgeous today in the pool. Sun shining, people in the water, heated to 85 degrees.
I think it's going to be the same tomorrow. Come on out west. We can have a pool party. BYOF!
