Pathology report

Post by karenswans »

I sent away for the pathology report from my colonoscopy and it came yesterday. It says:

"There are multiple strips of colon mucosa with preserved crypt architecture. There are increased numbers of lyphocytes in the surface epithellium and crypt epithelium. Morphologic features are suggestive of microscopic colitis. There is no evidence of ulceration or granuloma formation."

I expected to see specific lymphocyte counts, but I guess they don't always do that.

Some of the other notes in the colonoscopy report are interesting, including one that said my prep for the colonoscopy was "excellent!" Colonoscopy prep solution+active MC=a very clean colon for a colonoscopy, I guess!

I feel hurt - I don't recall ever receiving any compliments from my GI doc.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
