Seasonal Confusion

Post by Joefnh »

Well folks its been 5 days since the crazy storm in the Northeast and we still don't have power. Hopefully in the next day or so. This past weekend is usally Halloween and should be full of little guys and gals dressed as ghost and goblins, instead we had 14 inches (36cm) of wet heavy snow with trees and power lines down everywhere. That made no difference to the folks of New Hampshire, they just decided to combine the 2 seasons (fall and winter) and make a new tradition of the Halloween pumpkin and snowman combined... This is what the kids came up with

Happy Halloween and winter to all

Great photo, Joe - and an excellent new tradition!

(We were unseasonably warm here this year... I remember wearing long johns under my costumes, as a kid!)

Great idea, and great pumpkin carvings! It's hard to comprehend what happened up there. I've been monitoring friends in Connecticut who have no water either! 7000 separate events causing downed power lines in little CT is just amazing. I'm hearing rumors this winter is expected to pack another wallop. My hubby is hard at work researching generators, a project we planned to pursue at a later date...

Stay warm!

Great picture Joe but a horrible tradition that may be the norm. We had the same thing but only around 9" of snow. Hopefully, this winter will not be what the Farmer's Almanac says but I really do go with their predictions. Stay warm - I know it is hard.

Love, Maggie
