Paging Lesley -- Hard Candy! :)

Post by MBombardier »

I've had some really stressful and time-consuming things going on, so I am sorry that I didn't chase down this niggling thought sooner. My girls and I took YummyEarth lollipops on our Midwest sojourn we took this summer. Here is the website page with the ingredients: http://yummyearth.com/ingredients.html.

I have never had any problem consuming these candies since I don't have any problem with tapioca. If you don't either, you should be able to have them. Since they are hard, they can help with saliva production for your GERD. They are available for sale at local stores (they have a page telling where), or you can order them online. I pay $7.99/lb. for them in bulk at a local store. I don't know what they cost at Whole Foods, or elsewhere.

Hope this helps!!

Bless you hon, but they have rice! The problem with every "everything" free candy is that they all have rice in one form or another.

I have to find some British golden syrup, which is what we used in S. Africa to substitute for corn syrup, which we couldn't get, so that I can make some candy, as I did as a kid.

Thanks for thinking of me!
If I could add smileys I would send you a BIG smooch!

Lesley, just a thought but I was wondering if you could somehow incorporate maple syrup...something like this?

Nice idea! Thanks Deb. I might try that. The real maple syrup one, because the other one has butter. More like butterscotch, which I LOVE, but can't eat.
