Lesley,
Do you have a hiatal hernia? Something else must be making the situation worse, something such as a hiatal hernia, gastroparesis, gastritis, etc.
Is the fluid green? You might be having bile reflux into the stomach, (from the duodenum), which can certainly cause GERD, and the symptoms that you are describing.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
It took about 2 hours to settle down to bearable, during which time I was pacing all over the house, with runs to the toilet, and sips of water to try and put the fire out. The water was coming up, Tex. I have no gall bladder.
I had one, and had surgery about a year ago. First couple of months were great! Then a bug went round and I got it. I had to throw up, but I couldn't. I fainted from the effort, and after that the GERD came back, and was controlled by PPIs. I had an endoscopy and was told by my GE that the wrap was still in place, albeit "not the tightest I have ever seen".
This morning it seems to be better, though not gone. I am afraid to eat, given that EVERYTHING going down burned like fire, and made it worse. I also don't know what to eat. The oats, so far, haven't caused D. It's
I am also on day 4 of C. I wish I could find liquid paraffin in this country. I grew up on it.
I might have to call my GE and request another endoscopy. I SO don't want to, but I need to figure out how to deal with this.

It sounds as though your stomach is not emptying properly. That's gastroparesis. Or, if your pyloric sphincter is allowing bile to reflux into the stomach, that's just about guaranteed to cause GERD and/or vomiting problems.

After the colonoscopy before the last one, when MC was diagnosed, the doc saw gastroparesis, so I was invited to the hospital for a radioactive omelet, a 2 hour test lying on my back with your arms by my sides.
All downhill from there, but my GE said nothing about it.
I bet it's the pyloric sphincter. Or the wrap has come undone and is letting acid back into the esophagus. Given that I have already had striations on my esophagus I would think he would do something urgently.

My doc denied pyloric sphincter. Told me to take prevacid. He'll call me in a week to see how I am doing and help me get off it slowly. I am not being "realistic" thinking I can get off the PPIs. Also says there is no cure for alternating D&C.
He doesn't know that all the meds caused the MC in the first place.
No help from that quarter. I am NOT going back on prevacid if I can help it.

That's my doc! I said I was trying to rebuild my natural flora and acids. He said the PPIs don't kill them all. Well, how about just the ones I need? Aren't those enough? Bloody idiot.
I tried flax seed goo last night. It made me feel SO sick! It's great as a hair gel, but disgusting and nauseating as a "drink".
So now I will find fennel tea and see if that helps.
BUT I WILL NOT TAKE STRONG PPIS!
