Hi All,
If you read Barbara's post earlier, please be advised that there was a misunderstanding with the original phone call, and Barbara called back and learned that he is not dead, but dying, and her computer won't let her log on to correct her post, so I edited it for her.
I'm very sorry to hear such sad news.
Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I'm so sorry, Oma.
You will both be in my prayers.
I hesitate to suggest this, but you might consider a second opinion. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor almost two years ago. A second, more experienced doctor suspected it was calcified. A subsequent CAT scan confirmed that it was, and I don't need any treatment. It was a tremendous relief, of course.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
Gloria, I believe that Barbara mentioned during the phone conversation that it had metastasized. Of course, as you say, a second opinion can sometimes spell the difference between life and death, in such a grim situation.
