Just curious as to how many times a year everyone gets their blood work done. I try every 4 to 6 weeks only because I have seen my scores change enough that I want to get a jump on catching any discrepancy, ie., hormone fluctations, low iron. And now, with the dx of MC, I want to be super vigilant.

Unless some issue arises that needs to be monitored, about 2 or 3 times a year.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I was going every 6 months to monitor autoimmune issues, but now that I'm on a relatively stable track, I'm going once a year. Does insurance pay for bloodwrok that frequently?

Because of the immune suppressants I'm on for the crohns and MC I get my blood work checked 4 times a year. One benefit is that if I want to have any other levels checked like vitamins etc.. I just ask the doctor to include them on the next blood test.

I get it checked about twice a year, mostly when I was taking a statin. Most people on statins have to have a test twice a year to be sure that their kidneys are functioning properly.
