Tex the new tag line: "You can get your life back". Would be a great title for a book...

That might mislead a lot of people who are looking for a book that offers solutions to radically different problems, though. I would assume that only a small fraction of the people who are trying to get their life back, have MC. I can envision zillions of divorcees, parolees, addicts, people with various medical issues, etc., throwing the book down in disgust, when they see what it discusses.

Maybe it could be a subtitle.

I agree with Gloria! If you gathered up everything this forum knows about MC, it would fill a book!

Hey Tex, don't they grow a lot of soy in Texas? If your book is going to suggest that soy is not the health food it is marketed to be you may want to use a pen name. I hear Texas soy farmers are as mean as Texas cotton farmers. Gabby

   Actually, soy gets off pretty light in the book - it's mostly mentioned as an afterthought. I just mention that it has a lot of health issues, and cite a reference to Dr. Mercola's well known position on the subject - he can take all the heat. Wheat and dairy products do get a harsher treatment, though. The book doesn't dwell on any of them, just a few paragraphs of relevant information, illustrating why "the Emperor has no clothes", so to speak. Anyone who wants more details can check out the references.

IOW, I don't "dis" those foods to make them look bad - I mention their "problems", and cut through the hype, to illustrate why those who claim that they can't live without them, haven't done their homework, because they really don't have much to offer, healthwise.

Besides, I would think that dairy farmers would be meaner, on the average, because they're so fed up with having to work 7 days a week, 52 weeks out of the year. Most farmers and ranchers know a lot more about the commodities they produce than most self-appointed health "experts", so they recognize that there are bound to be a few skeletons in the closet, here and there.

And if worse comes to worse - I can always offer them an autographed copy, and promise that they can get their life back. I rather doubt that anyone who doesn't have MC will ever read the book, anyway, so it's not likely to make any waves in the food industry.

OK, well if you do ever need a pen name, or a co-author, I was going to suggest the name Norman Brown.

Gabby,

I tried to think of a few names, when I read your post, but frankly, that one didn't cross my mind.

Thanks,
Tex

Tex!

When will the book be done? I want an autograph copy for me and about a dozen more to hand out to all the doctors who mis diagnosed me! Oh wait, then I need a few more copies to give to family and friends who think I am crazy because they never heard of MC.

Where would we all be without you Tex?!

I hope you have a VERY HAPPY & HEALTHY THANKSGIVING!

Love

Robin,

I hope to finish it in a couple of months, or so - I'm writing the last couple of chapters, which should be the easy ones.

Unfortunately, no self-respecting doctor is likely to read anything related to the field of medicine, that was written by some guy who doesn't even own a white coat.

I hope you have a most enjoyable thanksgiving, too.

Love,
Tex

I will gift wrap one and send it to my GE anonymously. He'll know it's me, but who cares.

No, I won't do that. I would NOT like your book to go in the garbage. But I will pass it round to some people who I know would understand it.

And I will give it to my dentist!
