this saturday morning. i fell down a flight of stairs at my friend's house and did quite the number on myself. you'll have to forgive my typing as this is all left-handed - my right hand is in a cast. i may have to get a pin in my pretty badly broken wrist. i also broke the 2nd and 3rd vertabrea in my neck and am in a collar. i hit the wall with my head and the floor with my face so i also have a rather flattened nose, two black eyes and a split lip. i have to figure out how to get to the doc today because i convinced them to release me from the hospital and had quite the 5 hour journey home. i can't drive and every corner and bump is excruciating - i don't think a cab is a good idea
anyway this is pretty difficult so will write more later. love to all and my best to the birthday gals i missed.
It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
What a way to end your vacation. Take care of yourself. I hope you are able to get to the doctor. Are you taking perscription pain meds? What a mess!
Gentle hugs to you
Margie
"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha
I hope you can stay home and heal!! That is very scary!!!
Please keep us posted on how you are doing!!

Jaco, a parrot in Salzburg, could not only speak but seemed to understand grammar. Whenever his person left, Jaco would say "God be with you." But when several people were departing, Jaco would change it to "God be with all of you."
Oh my gosh. That was a terrible fall. With so many hurts I bet it's hard to find a comfortable position. It sounds like you are being very brave. Hope you get/got to the doctor today and that they gave you pain meds! Here's hoping for a speedy recovery with lots of rest and little pain.
EEEEGAD, Niece Peg!! That is terrible. The problem was, you see, you hadn't had your margarita yet.
You poor thing. I know that it isn't funny. Far from it. I just told Thea that you fell down some stairs and broke prctically every bone is your body. I bet that's how you feel.
Haven't you been having a run of bad luck lately? This is NOT fair. Especially not on holiday.
I hope your doc gives you some nice pain killers, at least.
How awful, Pips! It does sound like a terrible fall. Yes, rest and pain killers and a few stiff drinks (when not on painkillers) are definitely indicated. You must feel like you were hit with a Mack truck. WAHHHHHHHH. Please feel better soon........pretty please? Keep us posted.
Love and a (verrry gentle, of course)

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.

May I be more compassionate and loving than yeterday*and be able to spot the idiots in advance
I'm so sorry to hear about your fall. You must hurt all over! My dad just fell and broke his neck too, and is in a collar. His break is extremely painful - is yours? I've never broken a vertebrae, luckily. Just toes and
and feet. Feel better fast!
