Oh dear, I'm afraid I haven't followed the rules of the game... I tried, but it turned into a poem instead. :)
Life is a taco:
In between the mission walls we hide.
Outside, rain drowns the streets
steaming in the desert sun-clouds.
We are warm and dry, for now...
I'll meet you at Picacho Peak.
We can find a safe place
A little hot sauce and salsa
Maybe a glass of Shiraz.
Shoes face the fire
On the patio
We share the same tools
Maybe we can solve it together...
Thunder echoes through arroyos
Coyotes yip and keen
Palo Verde pollen in the breeze
Lazy storm rumbles past
Thunder in the distance
Echoing away
Distant challenges
Beyond the rainy day

Oooh Robin, that's good. And with a local flavor - I love it.
OK folks it looks like the bar has been set pretty high here. Who's next?

Hi Gabby,
I will confess, I saw your location on your post... So I was trying to go with some rhyme having to do with taco - Picacho - Pistachio (knowing you would get the references), but instead it just turned into a poem and I liked it, so here we are. I am glad you like it!
Maybe we should start a google map of locations? There are at least three of us in the Valley that I have seen here so far.

Life is a taco....
When someone's there to watch your back....Oh..........
When someone's there to make you feel macho...
With someone to help you make the guaco...(mole)...
When someone's the brains and someone's the jocko...
With someone named Ed and someone named Paco...
When someone is there when you want to play Rack-o...
When someone cares even when you're wacko...
When someone is there to play Burt Bacharach...OH...
Life is a fillet of fish!!

I am aging and sick, and know I'm wacko
But I still insist, day after day
There is no doubt, LIFE IS A TACO!

Robin, Cynthia, Wren, Lesley, You guys are awesome!!! Very Creative!!!
Well, it was a hard decision, but I think the winner of the best taco rhyme is Cynthia. My favorite is: With someone to help you make the guaco...
And now she wins a box of choco...late cake.
Thanks y'all.

Thanks, Gabby, for posting this--it was fun! Who knew there were so many poets in our midst? (Not that I think rhyming "guaco...mole" with "taco" really counts as poetry...)

I didn't get nearly as creative as the others. Just felt a bit wacko, so what's new? Glad it provided some amusement.
