Kari - I didn't do the gene tests. I was thinking today of doing them to see what my genetic disposition is, so I can show him the connection. I have a feeling he might just go that way without my having to do it.

I doubt very much that I will be able to persuade my other kids to go gluten free unless they start to have some sort of dietary issues, although my daughter brings her kids up drug free, taking them to a pediatrician turned naturopath.

Adam already has had some problems, and is more open to it.

Sara, I understand when extremism is really necessary. I am pretty much that way myself once persuaded. And it is useful at times.

If my genetic test comes back positive for ANYTHING, I'm carting that puppy with me on the cruise! I'd love to share that with my parents and sister--might 'splain some things...
