I definitely don't fit that mold--three healthy pregnancies, always on the first try, never had even a hint of any problems. My mother and sister, however, are a completely different story.

I had an ovarian cyst when I was about 20 - I had forgotten all about it! I couldn't sleep laying down for days. It finally burst on it's own, during a walk with relatives. It hasn't happened since, and I understood that it is fairly common, but maybe not, after all?

I had an ovarian cyst that burst suddenly and hurt like the devil. They opened me up and vacuumed the liquid out of my belly cavity. Was NOT fun.

I also had 7 pregnancies, miscarried 4, and had 3 difficult pregnancies and births, the result of which were 3 WONDERFUL kids.

All my health difficulties through my life (bar the polio and it's after effects) seem to be shared here. It's amazing.

I had my left ovary removed because of recurrent exploding cysts.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
