Thanks, Gloria - yes, it was a long trip! None of our neighbors had much sympathy for him, as he was working in Costa Rica - but it was quite rainy there, when it wasn't extremely hot, and of course he was mostly indoors... working. (He did manage to have some fun adventure time as well.)

And of course, he missed the most beautiful November anyone can remember here in NYC. He's glad to be back.

Sara

p.s. I bought the "Make it Paleo" cookbook for my SIL (don't tell!) - it's beautiful. I haven't wrapped it yet, because I'm still studying  I don't cook from books, mostly, but I do put ideas in the hopper for my own experiments in the kitchen/lab. The desserts section is gorgeous, if not entirely in the Paleo spirit. I'll mostly be cooking from the other chapters, but it was fun to look!

Gabes, the Paleo Comfort Foods cookbook is the one I asked my husband to get me for Christmas. It's good to know that you like it. Since I expect to have it soon, you don't need to take the time to copy out recipes for me. Thanks for the offer, though.

We're getting some much-needed rain here. Not a downpour, but a dreary drizzle which we hope will soak in well.

I am making my first attempt at gluten-free cinnamon rolls, baked from Pamela's bread mix. I have a glut of gluten-free flours. My DIL's mom tried going GF for a little while (she has a thyroid condition), and bought every kind of GF flour available. She decided she didn't like the taste of GF breads, so she gave all her flour to me. I need to do more baking!!

Happy December, everyone.

Love,
Martha
