4th day of C

Post by Lesley »

I have been taking a stool softener nightly, and today I cooked the rabbit with some prunes, of which I ate a few to introduce a little fiber into my diet. First I tried the rabbit without the prunes (delicious, if expensive!) No reaction. Later I ate a couple of the prunes.
Now I have gurgles, pressure (elephant's back, sitting on my abdomen) and had a wet, mucous-y fart. I don't know where this is leading, but it's not to Norman.

So prunes for C relief don't seem to be a good idea.

My doc is on jury duty this week, and I need a referral for the pain clinic. I can't do quitting Norco altogether, (I already take a third of the prescribed dose) without the pain clinic to manage the pain, so I have to wait.

The GERD is only managed by ingestion of copious amounts of sugar because all I can suck on is rock candy, and it melts pretty fast. If I wasn't ingesting the sugar I would be losing weight. I am only just maintaining right now. It goes up a bit when I am bloated and in C mode, and way down when the D hits.

This cycle seems to be unbreakable. It's exhausting. So I am down, down, down.
