the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and self-control
That's the reason why I try to avoid watching shows like that. All the performers have aged so much that it makes me think that I might be gettin' old, too.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
A couple of years ago I went to Las Vegas with a friend, and we scored tickets to see the Platters.
The group (the ones left + some "new' additions) were geriatric, but so was the audience. A great time was had by all.
Boy, had they aged!
I love those shows. And the Platters, they use to appear in our small town every few months back in the 70's. Love them and all those 50's and 60's groups.
Tex, you just have to get up and kick up your heels when that music comes on and it will make you feel young again.
I love seeing and hearing those bands. Reminds me - when my older son was about 16 or so (he's about to turn 41) I came home to the sound of the Beatles. I walked in singing on the top of my tuneless voice. His question? How do you know these songs? All the words? I double took!
Same with my daughter (44). We were watching a movie and Unchained Melody came on. Once again I floored my kids. How the hell did I know all the words?
They were at the stage "ask a teenager - they know everything", while convinced that I knew nothing. Boy, were the surprised!
I can still remember a lot of the words to many of those moldy oldies from the sixties but can't remember what I did yesterday. Any attempt to do the twist would send me to the chiropractor. It is fun to watch those PBS specials every once in a while.
