i have another question, What do you all eat for snacks?
i am constantly hungry and seem to eat only bananas and lots of them easily 4 a day..............
i am afraid to try nuts.

It's hard to answer without knowing what's on your "yes" list of foods (as well as the "nos").

I snack less often now, because I don't get hungry between meals. Eating a less-carb-rich diet really helps with that. When I do need something (I will tonight - late dinner after choral rehearsal), I try to make sure there's protein involved. If you can eat eggs, a hardboiled egg is a wonderful thing. My "meat cupcakes" are handy for snacking, but if you're away from home, you have to keep them cool (or heat them up).

When you get around to experimenting with nuts, a spoonful of nut butter can be very satisfying. Yesterday I had a spoonful of cashew butter with a little bit of chocolate-flavored fish oil, which is far more pleasing than it sounds. Also, slicing an apple and spreading nut butter on the slices is a treat.

We try to cook bigger dinner portions, so the fridge always has something leftover that's grabbable for a fast snack or a meal on the run.

I have also made tuna or salmon salad, with oil and lemon juice or oil and vinegar instead of mayo. I sometimes eat that with apple or pear slices, and sometimes have used those little squares of seaweed to make little mouthfuls - great flavor combo. Sometimes I slice raw zucchini and use it the same way.

Another benefit of lower-carb eating is that a little bit really makes a big difference. I was hungry after lunch last week, and just a little honey in my tea was a huge and satisfying indulgence. I sometimes have a square of DF/SF dark chocolate, too.

Yes... it goes where lemon-flavored fish oil dares not tread...

It was my husband's idea, and as usual (where food is concerned), he was right!

The chocolate flavored oil doesnt sounds weird!
i cant seem to eat much raw fruits only bananas. i had just had the hardboiled eggs for lunch.
i dont eat enough protein but dont like taste of tuna so never eat that.
I eat meant twice a day and thats pushing it for me.
do you eat the lindt 85% dark chocolate?
I looked for that but in the back it said something like " made in a facility which handles nuts, milk etc...............
so not sure if its a different one.

Yes, I do eat the Lindt 85% dark chocolate. There are others that are perhaps less risky, but they're harder to find (and crazy expensive).

Protein made a huge difference for me (I know, I'm a little bit of a broken record about this, today especially). It wasn't my thing, but it really turned around the debilitated feeling and fatigue once I made it a point to eat enough meat protein. Good luck talking your tastebuds into it... I do add a lot of stuff to canned tuna or salmon to make it to my taste, and that's exactly not what you probably need to be doing while you're trying to figure out intolerances and just feel better. You'll find your magic potion soon, I hope!

Snacks: When I have quinoa tabbouleh in the fridge I snack on that, those darned fattening potato chips, hazelnut coffee, a handful of cinnamon chex cereal. I keep very rich, very chocolaty GF brownies in the freezer cut into very small squares. Just one of those is so satisfying. Almond butter on a rice or nut cracker is pretty good, too. If I'm really hungry I'll heat up some butternut squash/apple soup that I keep in the freezer.

The lindt 85% is just called that right, it doesnt say DF, SF lindt 85%?
I looked again for it last night and it said cocoa butter in the ingredients?
This is fine right?

The 85% should be okay. Cocoa butter is not dairy; the butter part just describes consistency, kind of like peanut butter is called butter but doesn't contain dairy. The Lindt 70% with nuts is gluten, dairy, and soy safe, but the 70% with orange contains soy lecithin. :sad:
