Tinnitus and flaring

Post by Lesley »

I am flaring, though without D, courtesy of delicious unhydrogenated palm oil shortening. If you can tolerate it I HIGHLY recommend it. It's creamy, rich and almost buttery. It makes apples melt beautifully, and enhances their flavor beautifully.

My tinnitus is going beserk today. It's so loud it's even drowning out the noise Henrietta Hippo, who lives above me and is MEAN as well as loud, makes when she is home. Silver linings, anyone?

The symptoms I have in common with you guys are pain, cramps, bloating, total and indescribably exhaustion, mucous, and BMs (which are welcome when I am totally bound up, though, given my particular issues + entocort, not D.

I notice my tinnitus most days, but not like this. It's like a flock of cicadas with rusty voice boxes going at it in my left ear.
Also, since I am fighting GERD, I try to sleep on my left side, I hear my heartbeats very loudly, loudly enough to wake me, in my ear.

Does anyone else who has tinnitus notice this symptom more during a flare?

Mine seems to be entirely related to my seasonal allergies, not my digestive issues. Or medication. Sudafed makes me buzzzzzz...

Sudafed is a minor version of prednisone for me. I bounce off the walls!
