Christmas Wish to all
My Christmas wish to all -
i only wish i had this type of wordsmithing skill, it came to me in an email card.
Don't underestimate the value of Doing Nothing
When it comes to really composing a meaningful wish for Christmas to my dear family and friends and I think about how damn tired we are, the most heartfelt wish I have is that you all get a break in the relentless events of the year and have a chance to soothe and regenerate body and soul.
There really is more to life than increasing its speed and complexity.
So please, give yourself the gift of time.
This isn’t just about taking some time off on those glorious days when you don’t have to get up and go to work, shopping, appointments…… It’s about moving yourself into a place where urgency is an empty word. Take your time.
Take indulgent slices of days for yourself and revel in them, free of guilt.
Or, even better, string still and gentle moments together until they become a garland of days. Switch off the scheming and the planning and the worry and the what-ifs.
Turn the most important decision of the day into deciding which colour of the rainbow you want to slide down.
Live in the sunshine, swim in the sea, hike the hills, soak up the sunrise.
Be silly, be funny, sing a lot, and be joyous. Hoist your spirit high.
Laugh and be happy.
Relive how beautiful it is to do absolutely nothing … and then take a rest afterwards.
Get so fabulously physical that your brain slips smoothly into overdrive.
Be kind. Be unexpected. Help others in amazing ways.
Live, laugh, smile and be merry.
Let's start 2012 on a natural optimism that will turn the year ahead into the happiest you’ve ever known.

gabes thanks for your very wise, wonderful and worthy words. It also reflects so perfect this time your, to go inside and reflect. I totally agree with, the art of totally doing nothing is highly underestimated.
Wishing you all the best in the holiday season too, with lots time enjoying doing totally nothing.
If I look back on my life, all my positive and best life changes all started in moments of the "doing nothing" just be. Of course after that, action was taken, but from a totally different source than the so popular GO, GO, GO or DO, DO, DO credo nowadays.
I wish myself (and everyone else here) lots of those great moments of new insights and inspiration, coming from the doing totally nothing and being with yourself time
merry christmas

"As the sense of identity shifts from the imaginary person to your real being as presence awareness, the life of suffering dissolves like mist before the rising sun"
Perfect, Gabes!
Reminds me of one of my favorite observations - "We have become human DOINGS instead of human BEINGS".
All we really have is the present moment, so we need to live it to the fullest, no matter what we may be doing. Thanks for the reminder.
Love,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
Thanks for the inspiration, Gabes. That expresses my sentiments, exactly.
And I agree with Polly's observation about human DOINGs, also. Indeed, the moment is all that we have.
Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

from a former type A perfectionist type, one of the main lessons that MC has taught me, is that it is ok to put my needs first, guilt free. that is quite a bit easier for me living alone.
hope you get some chillax time soon
