I think I reached a little milestone in December--the first month in 2011 in which I did not have a single doctor appointment/ test/procedure--YAY!!!! Feeling optimistic for 2012...But pretty sure I wouldn't be feeling that way without the folks in this community. Very grateful to all.
Thank you all for what you've given me this year!!! After being diagnosed June 13, 2011, I was very lost. I can't imagine where I would be without this board. Thank you, Tex, for making it possible, and for the others who moderate it. Most especially, to each of you who share of yourself and your experiences so that I know I'm not alone.
Wishing you ALL a VERY HAPPY and HEALTHY NEW YEAR!
I started getting sick on Dec. 25, 2011 and was Dx June 17, 2011. I am no where near being in remission. I will have to say that a year ago I couldn't even keep a morsel of food in. It was coming out at both ends and the pain was so bad I would sleep on the bathroom floor so I didn't have to move far. I have a lot to be grateful for and its all because I found the wonderful people here. I thank you all for giving me my life back. This was probably the hardest year of my life! I cant wait for 2012. I am not going to look back I am just going to keep going forward one step at a time.
It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Thank you all for being here - wishing you the best of health in 2012 !!!!!
Love,
Kari
