I managed to have a BM this morning. It didn't look terrible, but I have had pain in my abdomen and upper thighs all morning. I felt like I could have another BM, but only a little mucous came out, with a tiny streak of fresh blood in it.
Any ideas? Tex?

It could be due to an internal 'roid or tear. MC also seems to be prone to inflame existing hemorrhoids, and it can create new ones, if none exist.
The persistent sensation of incomplete bowel evacuation, (despite having a bowel movement), is known as tenesmus, and it can persist for hours or even days, even if evacuation has been complete. It can be caused by stretched rectal walls, the presence of masses in the rectal cavity, (tumors, or swollen hemorrhoids), and it can be caused by an IBD, including MC. I had that sensation frequently, when I was in the D phase of a reaction.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
That's interesting. I am not in the D phase, but there IS mucous, and I DO have a feeling on incomplete bowel evacuation, literally all the time. The persistent sensation of incomplete bowel evacuation, (despite having a bowel movement), is known as tenesmus, and it can persist for hours or even days, even if evacuation has been complete.
So I am still flaring. The exhaustion and pain I am feeling should tell me that.
I WISH it would start to heal!
