'Monsanto' now advising the FDA...

Post by Joefnh »

Here's one to make us sleep well at night...
Michael Taylor was just appointed senior advisor to the commissioner of the FDA. This is the same man that was in charge of FDA policy when GMO's were allowed into the US food supply without undergoing a single test to determine their safety. He "had been Monsanto's attorney before becoming policy chief at the FDA he became Monsanto's Vice President and chief lobbyist. This month became the senior advisor to the commissioner of the FDA. He is now America's food safety czar.

Joe,

I can remember hearing or reading about things such as that back when I was growing up - only back then it always happened in what we considered to be "backwards" countries with corrupt governments, not in America.

Some folks claim that as people get "older", they think that the country is going to hell in a handbasket, and they're sure right about me feeling that way.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I agree with you both.

The good news, sort of, is that this is news from 2009, not today. The bad news, of course, is that he's still in this job. I wonder how much damage he's achieved in those 2 years?

At the end of Food, inc. they show you how the top people in Monsanto are all in top jobs in the government, controlling our food. Scary!
