Oma is Back

Post by GF-aka Oma »

Just the highlights here~My Husband has braifortbleomm cn cancer~Inoperatable. Long story but will try and shorten it a bit~ Diagnosed Oct 13,2011 with a glioblastoma grade 4. Second opinion at MD andersons in Houston Tx Confirmed it. He took 6 wks of intense radiation in 10 days~shrunk tumor to buy him time. Tumor had crossed mid-line in October. We are in Arizona to spend last days with son and family. He is begining to show signs of reverting back a bit. I am wore out, as I am his main caregiver. Hospice pays for meds and checks on him but they can only make him comfortable. So...I have and am a bit busy and stressed.

Hi Oma,

Barbara posted about this earlier, and we've been hoping that by some miracle he might be able to overcome it. I'm so sorry to hear that it has gone the wrong way, instead. Both of you are in our prayers.

Please take care of yourself. The constant stress can really take it's toll. Thanks for thinking of us, and for posting.

Love,
Tex

So sorry for Mike. Give him a hug from us. Glad you're in AZ where you have some support, but of course the care-giving falls on you. Hard times for both of you.

It's so good to hear from you though. Have missed you!

Hi Oma,

It's good to hear from you, but sad that things aren't better. You are having a rough time right now. I'm glad that you're near your son, but it doesn't take away the worry and the caregiving. My prayers are with you. I hope the MC behaves itself enough to not add to your worries.

My prayers and support are there for you Oma. Glad to hear you are with your son in AZ but I know it has to be the hardest time of your life.

Oma, You have been on my mind a lot ever since I found out about Mike. I know this is terribly hard on you as well. I'm glad you are near family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I hope that somehow you find a little time to take care of yourself.
