Hi Oma,

Sorry you're having a rough time.

My number one destressor is yoga, and a close second is nature. Spending time outside while watching and listening to birds, and other creatures, invariably cheers me up. I also have a habit of going out on my patio in the middle of the night (if I cannot sleep) to watch the sky/stars/moon. Tuning into the universe tends to put my perceived insurmountable problems into perspective :).

Love,
Kari

I ditto Kari. Re-connecting with simple things that bring contentment helps me. Sometimes, I must stop and remind myself "back to the basics." Last week Tex got me back on track in recommending chicken soup. I decided to use a phrase to myself - Chicken Soup for the PP's Soul - when I recognize stress. I love to hear a cat purr, watch my son (artist) paint. Night time patio visits are helpful for me, as well as, being creative in some form or fashion.

My stresses were years of single-parenting while being the only living child of elderly parents with failing health, stressful jobs and commutes.

On a good day, I prioritize stress in terms of juggling rubber balls and glass balls. I may get a second chance if I drop a rubber ball, but the glass balls must be handled. On bad MC days, they're pretty much all rubber! :)
