Re: Nausea

Post by GF-aka Oma »

At the same time that I came backk to the board~I was having issues of remission and D, but here in the last two weeks I am plauged with bouts of severe headaches and nausea. Granted I need to re-introduce foods that won't irritate the big D, my Question is this~Can this be related to the wrong foods I have been eating and/or stress? (stress related to MC but more the cancer issue and family) I do have an appt tomorrow with a local MD , it's the only way to be referred to a good GI - I also have an issue with ears. one ear fills up

Oma,

I had nausea and headaches regularly while I was reacting, but that all stopped after I had been on the diet long enough for some healing to take place.

Oma, stress can cause just about any reaction! You say you are getting headaches and your ear "fills" up. Have you thought that maybe you are grinding your teeth while you sleep? Stress can cause grinding which in turn results in jaw pain, headaches. Since the jaw hinge is near your ears, the fullness/stuffiness of your ears could be pressure from grinding.

Yes, yes, yes--it can be related, and probably is! Losing the headaches, nausea and fatigue was an unexpected benefit of going GF for me.

I agree that stress can cause many issues, My doctor in Texas was in the process of sending me to an ear nose and throat he thought I had Meniers. But I am back on a good diet and will try to heal the gut.

It's just amazing to me how lax I got knowing what would happen. But for the last two days I have started back on a diet that will help my gut. And portion control is soemthing I have started as well. I so appreciate feedback from ya'll about this. When we started this room (thank you Tex!) I knew these things but somewhere along the line, I forgot. This room and all those so willing to help still blows me away.
Thanks all~In a sea of stress ya'll are a large solid rock.

Is the headache severe and does the nausea come just with the headache or at other times too?

With the stress you are under, I imagine it's a combination of stress and your MC attacking your whole body. I'm really glad you have gotten back on your diet and I hope it helps quickly.
