I'm pretty good at titles; I used to be editor in chief of a popular adopted greyhound magazine and had to title articles all the time.

I like the suggestions, but they pretty much guarantee that doctors will rail against the book.

When I was first diagnosed and was looking for a (non-existent) book, the closest I could come was to find a book with one paragraph mentioning MC. I was excited that it was even mentioned, but of course it didn't give me any suggestions for resolving it.

I've tried to write it so that hopefully, most doctors shouldn't feel insulted, and throw it in the trash, (I've spent a lot of time rewriting parts, in order to tone down the rhetoric). Do you feel that my title suggestion is too antagonistic? It may boil down to an either/or situation, but I would like to hope that both patients, and at least some doctors, might be able to derive some benefit from it, if at all possible.

The problem is, most of us come to this board because we're not satisfied with the treatment that our doctor offers, so I think that "hook" needs to be in the title. Am I wrong?

Van's frozen waffles are so good- spendy for waffles but worth it. I fell in love with them a week before I got my enterolab results and found I could no longer eat soy. I got rid of the box that says they're GF and now my son is eating them. Sneaky but what can I do?

I'm late to this party. Surprised and sad that you found out you're now casein sensitive. At the same time, I'm glad you found out so that you can start to feel better.

I really like Van's GF waffles, too. They're not cheap, but they are worth the cost to me. I eat them with peanut butter, bananas and maple syrup so that I get protein in the morning to start my day.

I like your titles and those suggested which combine your two titles. I can see why some might think the hook could cause aversion by some physicians. I'd be interested in Polly's thoughts.

I want to buy your book, too.

It's a little tricky. You want to pique people's interest and let them know that our knowledge is much more vast than their doctor's knowledge, but you don't want to insult the doctors or they'll never read the book.

I like this title:

All About Microscopic Colitis: What your doctor didn't or couldn't tell you.

but it might play better if it said:

"All About Microscopic Colitis: What your doctor didn't tell you"

Ie., leave off the "couldn't" because that implies they're stupid or incapable of knowing. We, of course, know that they are capable of learning it, but have chosen not to.

This title grabs the MC patient without insulting the doctor, IMHO.

I also would be interested in Polly's reaction.
