Good News For Colorado Residents - Trader Joe's Is Coming

Post by tex »

Hi All,

Apparently they will open at least 3 stores in the Denver area this year, and they should have something going by April, according to this news release.

Trader Joe's almond milk=my very favorite. I think much better texture-wise than Silk or Blue Diamond.
Their GF bread products lean to Kinnikinick, which I don't care for, but they also carry some Udi's. They are worth a look around. Prices not too bad.

I tested their turkey broth over Christmas and didn't have any reaction to it. Their almond milk contains carrageenan, which I'm unable to eat.

Gloria,

Interesting about the turkey broth! Remember when we wondered about it but I was unable to get any feedback from T.J.'s? I think I will try it now in view of your success. Thanks.

Hugs,

Hi Tex,

Trader Joes's is also finally coming to Texas. A store is opening in the North Dallas/Plano area and then I heard they are coming to Houston.

Well that's even better news.

I hope they eventually add some stores in between - both those locations are a long way from here, but it it sounds as though you may be in luck, (depending on where they decide to put that store).

Thanks for the news,
Tex

Polly,

Yes, I was so happy that the turkey broth was fine. I need to buy some more for those times that I can't make my own broth. I'm getting pretty weary of making everything from scratch. I just bought some Silk Almond milk again because I've been making almond milk every five days. It's nice to have a break once in a while.

Polly,

I went to Trader Joe's this week to stock up on turkey broth. They told me that they only carry it at Thanksgiving. So, I canned my own turkey broth yesterday. It was rather amazing to still be able to get some sage and parsley from my garden. We've had snow and freezing weather, but they both were unaffected.
