Australian TV Show

Post by MBombardier »

My 13yo daughter is really into mermaids, and she found a TV show on Netflix called Just Add Water about three Australian girls who become mermaids when even a drop of water touches them. This is a little embarrassing, but I have to admit that I have started watching this series. Though improbable, it's fun and clean, and occasionally clever. In one of the early shows, a boy and his girlfriend crash a sleepover. The boy brings pastries as a contribution to the snacks. Guess what? They are gluten-free.

I just thought it was interesting that in 2006, Australian TV for kids would have a episode mentioning gluten-free pastries like it is normal for teens and others to have gluten-sensitivity.

 With a five year old granddaughter "so into" the princess thing, I won't be surprised if this is next on our list.

LOL, that's cute. I don't think it is strange that you got interested. I like some "kids" shows/movies.
