I've been thinking about the rice because right now I just can't tell. It doesn't seem to bother me but I really don't know because of the entocort I'm guessing. I'm happy to be off of prednisone because it was awful dealing with the side effects. I'm playing with dosage maybe sooner that I should but I dropped from 9mg to 6mg hoping that will give me the same results. I wouldn't call it norman but 2-3 times a day with no night issues makes me happy. I've taken the Histame with four meals and I've noticed a difference. I was able to wear my contacts today instead of glasses so that brightened my day. The eye/sinus pain made it too uncomfortable to wear them previously.
I'm struggling with the cost of the MRT because I'd like to know about the rice and other foods that are on my "good" list. It seems that my guessing and hoping with my limited menu hasn't been that great. Focusing on eliminating high histamine foods in additon to everything else has been difficult. I had a similiar blood test done a few years ago that must be like an MRT but I'm unsure of the accuracy and rice showed up as a +1 on a scale of 1-4 for reactivity (4 being the worst). I did eliminate it from diet for about 4 months while taking no other RXs and the D continued as always so I'm unsure. It's good (if that's the right word) to know that there are others who require more time. It gives me hope that I fall into that catagory that will require a bit more focus and patience. I tried the strictly meat, potato, & rice diet for about a week with no noticable change. I'm still primarily eating that but add in other what I think are ok foods right now but should probably commit myself to going back to the original meat & potatoes for a 6-8 week trial.
The visualizing does sound different, but it made me smile, because I've read that before and have tried it. I'll have to make a point of setting aside time everyday to convince my mind's eye of what I'd like to achieve.
