Trace Minerals

Post by desertrat »

I am reassessing my intake of vitamins. Which to take, which not to take, which to increase/decrease. I have a bottle of trace minerals that I take every now and then. How important are trace minerals? I figure with MC, most people don't even get enough of the basic, most important vitamins such as D, so wouldn't a lack in minerals also be detrimental to us? So, do any of you take trace minerals as a part of your vitamin regimen?

I don't take a supplement specifically for trace minerals but I do use unrefined salt which lacks iodine so I take an iodine supplement. I'm not suggesting that you should. That's something you have to decide for yourself. I was infuenced by a book by Dr. Brownstein. Even he says you should have an iodine load test to see how much you need but I haven't done that.
