We are back in MN after DD had an emergency c-section. We thought all was well but premature (4 lbs. 5 oz.) baby had a twisted bowel and had to have emergency surgery for that (a temporary/permanent colostomy was a possibility). All appears well and stable at this point. I haven't had any LC symptoms EXCEPT I have what feels like joint and sciatic pain (and maybe a UTI infection). Obviously the stress level has been extremely high.
Congratulations on the new baby. So sorry that the baby had to have surgery. Poor little one. I hope that baby, mama, and grandma are all doing well now. We can be so thankful for modern medicine being able to help in emergencies like this (even though we don't like the way our MC issues get treated by doctors!)
Thanks! Baby is a boy. And modern medicine can truly be a miracle at times. We were fortunate to be at Mayo. They're the only GI neonatal in the area and if this wouldn't have been diagnosed and treated as quickly as it was things could have been a whole lot different.
